Karon Beach: Phuket's Long, Spacious Stretch of Sand
North of Kata and south of Patong, Karon is Phuket's second-longest beach — a roughly 3-kilometer stretch of fine white sand backed by casuarina trees and a much less commercially dense strip than Patong, making it a favorite for visitors who want space without giving up convenience.
Karon's width and length are its defining features. The beach is noticeably wider than most others on the island, and the long, gently curving shoreline means it rarely feels as packed as Patong, even at the height of the season.
