Ya Nui Beach: A Small Bay Perfect for Kayaking & Snorkeling
Just south of Nai Harn and close to Phromthep Cape, Ya Nui is a small, rocky-edged beach that punches well above its size — a compact bay with calm, clear water, good snorkeling around the offshore rock formations, and a relaxed, uncommercial atmosphere.
Ya Nui's beach itself is modest, with a mix of sand and rockpools where visitors, especially kids, often spend time exploring small fish and hermit crabs at low tide. The bay's shape and the small island (Koh Man) just offshore help keep the water sheltered, making it a popular spot for kayaking as well as snorkeling — rental kayaks and snorkeling gear are both available on-site, though the quality of rental equipment can be basic. A handful of simple restaurants and a few bungalows sit near the beach, keeping the overall development low-key.
Because Ya Nui sits so close to Phromthep Cape, it's a natural stop either before or after watching the sunset from the famous viewpoint just up the road. The beach tends to stay quiet even in high season, partly due to its small size and partly because many visitors pass it by in favor of larger, better-known beaches nearby.
