The Secret Buddha Garden, also known as the Magic Garden or Tarnim Magic Garden, is one of Koh Samui's most unusual attractions — a private sculpture garden hidden high in the island's central hills. It was created by a local fruit farmer, Nim Thongsuk, who began carving statues on his family's land in 1976 and continued for decades.
Moss-covered figures depicting Buddha, deities, animals, and mythical creatures from Thai folklore are scattered through the jungle, connected by streams and small waterfalls. The garden isn't a temple, so there's no religious dress code, and the overall feel is more artistic and contemplative than devotional.
